QuickNode, a leading blockchain infrastructure provider, set out to grow its footprint among B2B clients and the developer community, the core users of its node-as-a-service platform.

To reach this technically sophisticated audience, QuickNode ran paid ad campaigns with HypeLab, a Web3-focused ad network. The goal: launch a highly targeted campaign to attract developers actively building in the blockchain ecosystem.

Over a several month period, the campaign went through multiple iterations, improving CAC in each step. 

Phase 1: Quicknode ran a network-wide campaign to better understand segments of users that resonated with their product. HypeLab served millions of impressions to web3 native users specifically focused around Developers. 

Phase 2: Based on learnings from Phase 1, the campaign was optimized based on the best performing creative sets, countries, and publishing properties. 

Phase 3: HypeLab’s ML models continuously optimize campaigns based on past data. CAC dropped by over 75% to ~$20 per user sign-up, on par with the previously best-performing channel (e.g. Google search ads). 

B2B clients are difficult to reach, and even more difficult to convert into real users. HypeLab closely worked with the Quicknode marketing team to set up, launch, and optimize campaigns to drive sign-ups (at a lower cost than most other channels).
